Optimization of the transportation sector is critical to the decarbonization of cities. In this collaboration, Spatial Pleasure will work with Zip Infrastructure on monitoring the environmental benefits and carbon reduction effects generated by “Zippar”, self-propelled ropeway, with the goal of generating carbon credits. Through generating carbon credits, we will support the introduction of “Zippar” to the community and contribute to creating and realizing an attractive city without traffic congestion.

Zip Infrastructure develops the self-propelled ropeway “Zippar,” a new transportation system, that aims to solve the “traffic congestion problem” causing economic losses of over 26.7 trillion yen annually in urban areas around the world. “Zippar” is characterized by “low cost, automatic operation, and free design”, and can be built at 1/5 the cost and in 1/5 the time of a conventional monorail system, which can secure 50% of the transportation capacity of those systems.

Spatial Pleasure develops DMRV (Digital, Measurement, Reporting, Verification) software for the urban and transportation domain. Our goal is to build a more sustainable city by quantifying the environmental benefits of each mode of transportation, such as BRT, buses, shared cycles, and ropeways, and issuing carbon credits as appropriate.
